Bonfire

During lockdown we had a bonfire in a drum. When it got really hot some of the drum was turning red and it was so cool watching it. Dad said when the metal was hot we could try bend it but we did not. When it was burning me and kade were hitting the drum to make fireflies come out of our drum. There were so much that I could not see the fire. They were floating up high into the sky. I liked having aa bonfire it was fun.

  2. Hi Ash, excuse the pun!! Youve taught me something i tenei po! It's the first time I've heard the saying, 'fire flies.' I should know because Mrs Windleborn lights so many fire, not nearly as controlled as yours! Thanks for sharing. I love reading what you have been up to!

  3. Your family sounds like they are enjoying some lock down fun Ashton. I love having a good fire in a drum. We only have a little red brazier which doesn’t make fire flies like yours. I hope you’re enjoying your whanau time and well

  4. Kia ora Ashton, I loved seeing your fierce fire, and the description of fire flies is perfect!! There's nothing quite like an outdoor fire on a cold night (and the right wind direction...) Our outdoor brazier is a drum from inside an old washing machine!! Keep up the great work!
